Some of our recent projects included working with the following:
Blec 1.6m Combinator
End of season renovations 2009
Problems with thatch, root break, unsuccessful incorporation, poor grass cover and raised ends are amongst the problems many cricket clubs encounter.
Eversholt Cricket club were one of these clubs. Their square had suffered from layering problems and severe undulations in levels amongst other smaller difficulties familiar to other cricket clubs.
Unsuccessful incorporation of different loams in older days had lead to layering and root break which reflected in inconsistent bounce and poor grass establishment and root development.
After removing the surface vegetation by fraise mowing with the Blec Combinator soils were excavated to depth and then incorporated and ameliorated before grading to levels and reseeding. The new square was then deep drilled to aerate to depth and new rye grass sward established in the Autumn. All is now ready for 2010.
Complete grass cover March 2010 prior to pre season feed and rolling
